Our Reed Point Grain Elevators haloed by the sunset. Summer is reaching it’s end, but we have one last celebration here in Reed Point. The Sheep Drive is coming September 1st, and there’s still some availability. See you there!
September 1st, 2019 will be the 31st Annual Sheep Drive in Reed Point, MT.
The morning begins with a pancake breakfast at the Fire Station, benefitting our local firefighters. Vendors line up and down the main street displaying a variety of creative wares. The classic car show at the post office has cool, vamped out vehicles from the 1930’s to 70’s. If you’re lucky, you might spy a Leprechaun, or even Little Bo Peep.
Games are held down at the park throughout the day. If you come to the auction, you might just find a new (or old) treasure. Delicious food and drinks are available at the Waterhole Saloon and diverse vendors.. The parade comes through town in the afternoon and we all wait for the running of the sheep. These gentle wooly creatures come running and leaping down the main street before heading back home for a well deserved rest in their pasture.
In the evening, the live music and street dance begins. It’s a fun day to bring the entire family and celebrate Sheep Drive.
